Holter ECG monitoring records heart rhythm over 24, 48 or 72 hours to help assess symptoms that may come and go.
Results are reviewed after the monitor is returned and shared with the patient as part of the clinical follow-up.
It may be suitable when palpitations or rhythm symptoms are intermittent and need longer recording than a standard ECG.
